We were under clouds most of the time. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon Checkout: Exhaust fan box alarm was on when Mike did the afternoonCheckOut. The fan is running fine despite of the alarm. Turning the fan on/off did not have any effect on the alarm (air conditiner was and is on "auto" setting). French has been informed. We opened around sunset, but the clouds prevented us from setting up on our field. We were never able to setup on our first plate due to clouds. We put cart 9 plate 865 on around 3:10. The sky looked slightly better. Guide stars found on gotoField. Between clouds we centered, scaleChanged, preCalibed, and finished science. The next plate cart 6 plate 573. We saw gyude stars on gotoField. The seeing was poor, sometimes getting up to 3"+ , making it hard to center. Focusing was also not easy due to variable seeing. During the second exposure, the clouds thickened. We took one good exposure folowed by two useless exposures and then sat and waited for better sky which never came. We gave up around 11:20 and decided to put the telescope to bed. he exhaust fan box was still beeping when we closed and turned off the fan. We ran endNight successfully. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 13337, plate 865 ------- 15.0 16.5 14.0 15.1 03:25 13337 10.0 flat 03:27 13338 2.0 arc 03:51 13339 1201.0 target 04:12 13340 1052.0 target 04:39 13341 1502.0 target 04:46 13342 240.0 smear ----- sequence 13343, plate 573 ------- 4.9 4.8 5.6 5.6 05:19 13343 10.0 flat 05:21 13344 2.0 arc 05:45 13345 1201.0 target 06:13 13346 1501.0 target 07:16 13347 1800.0 target ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 0330Z 9 865 110.27 -0.0013 59.42 0.0024 -91.78 -0.0087 1.000330 0529Z 6 573 47.32 -0.0006 51.50 0.0014 218.24 -0.0139 1.000150 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL5054 Stays: JL5055 ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 20:29 9 865 1.00033 -3258 -1618 -75 110 59.3 5.9 18 197 1.7 22:28 6 573 1.00015 -1480 -74 -25 47 51.5 4.4 17 199 1.9 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 16:46 44 23 24 205 (SSW) 246 - 17:18 42 24 20 186 (S) 329 - 18:02 41 23 18 187 (S) 452 - 18:35 41 23 16 203 (SSW) 368 - 19:08 42 23 21 184 (S) 371 - 19:40 42 23 23 193 (SSW) 440 - 20:11 42 24 24 195 (SSW) 361 - 20:44 42 23 30 208 (SSW) 439 - 21:16 40 24 25 206 (SSW) 521 - 21:47 40 24 24 209 (SSW) 572 - 22:18 40 23 20 204 (SSW) 558 - 22:48 39 24 21 211 (SSW) 557 - 23:19 39 24 15 225 (SW) 697 - 23:49 39 23 22 221 (SW) 525 - 00:19 38 23 21 221 (SW) 630 - 00:50 37 23 19 208 (SSW) 436 - 01:20 37 23 18 229 (SW) 381 - 01:50 35 24 17 254 (WSW) 344 - 02:22 35 23 23 250 (WSW) 298 - 02:52 35 21 21 250 (WSW) 265 - 03:22 34 23 20 257 (WSW) 304 - 03:52 33 23 23 247 (WSW) 383 - 04:23 33 23 20 246 (WSW) 296 - ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- Fans on: 23:15 Enclosure off:00:50 Enclosure on, fans off:11:30 Telescope is in stow position with cartridge 6 plate 573.
