We switched from site air to our own closed loop air system because site air was having problem keeping the pressure. The new iop/sop v2_29_4 with the fixes for smear was tested and declared current. GENERAL COMMENTS (see Problems below for details): ================================================== Afternoon checkout showed TPM still reading 0.0 for all temperature sensors. When checked couple hours Later, we had readings. New IOP/SOP (v3_29_4) was installed. This version has smear fix as well as header fix when pausing/resuming exposures. We tested these with the telescope in the enclosure with stop buttons in, and they seem to work now. We declared this version current. While running imager bias during the afternoon checkout, we got yet another "tape/drive failure" in id3-1. Given the fact that this is the second one during this run and the third time in 3 weeks or so if we count the time when it gave error in Jan.26 (we swapped the tape and went on then) and Don H.'s email couple days ago encouraged us to swap tape drive. After swapping, we had trouble getting good status in archReadSense (the last two digit did not become 80 even after many archReadSense), and we ended up rebooting crates. We did several biases in the doghouse while trying to make sure id3 was working properly. On one occasion, run 2114, required TWO endDrifts before we could start a new drift. The first endDrift looked as if it ended normally, no error messages, the scrolling display stopped, but apparently something was not quite right because when we tried to do the next drift, it said, "Error: im: camera not willing to stop scanning" and only have issuing another endDrift were we able to do a new goDrift. Around 10pm, the site compressed air pressure fell which lead critical errors on tbar status. Connie just happened to call APO while this critical error popped up and she said if we are to have site air problem all night long, then she can help us hook up the imager to its own vacuum system. After talking to French, we put our primary system on our closed loop system so that we don't have to rely on the site air system. Scot folklored the info on how to switch air systems. During the night, we checked the pressure few times as instructed by French and the pressure readings were good. We had no t-bar error messages once we went to the closed loop system. endNight -doTpm ran successfully.
