Looking at the data, we see a requested 2 parts in 10^5 scale change in az. We do not implement the new table. In the belief that the offset should be entirely in azimuth, we begin with an early evening cartridge and hunt for a very bright star (alpha Peg) by offseting in azimuth in the direction imaging was off yesterday. We finally find it 164.4 arcseconds away. The az offset needed was: -0.045667 degrees = -164.4 arcseconds. We then center up on an fk5 star, and go to the field for the installed plate; we get stars in every guide fiber on the first exposure. After finding starts, we find that we cannot grab the instruments, that the watcher servers have died, and the watchers are responding very slowly. Upon starting a new SOP, we get the "ICC Comminications are not possible" error. See Probelm 1 in the problems section. The arrival of clouds prevents us from getting real science data on the plate we were abel to set up, and we close when the clouds become too thick. We reopen a little after midnight. The guider is showing one fiber on top of another, complicating our interpretation of the image. We then complete several plates. We note that on a couple of plates, we must clear the accumulated offsets and return to the az offset described above to get stars in the fibers. We also note that we begin to miss occasional az fiducials. Closed at 5:00 due to clouds. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Stripe Flavor Lambda Last Begin End Frame Comments ------------------------------------------------------------------ 2729 100 O ignore 135.05 140.07 48 2730 100 O ignore 153.02 154.03 21 ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 11798, plate -9999 ------- 00:35 11798 0.0 bias ----- sequence 11799, plate 748 ------- 01:45 11799 0.0 bias 01:49 11800 10.0 flat 01:51 11801 2.0 arc 02:25 11802 1201.0 target 02:53 11803 1502.0 target ----- sequence 11804, plate 754 ------- 07:50 11804 10.0 flat 07:52 11805 2.0 arc 08:23 11806 1201.0 target 08:46 11807 1200.0 target 09:02 11808 803.0 target 09:09 11809 240.0 smear 09:12 11810 10.0 flat 09:14 11811 2.0 arc ----- sequence 11812, plate 762 ------- 09:26 11812 10.0 flat 09:28 11813 2.0 arc 09:51 11814 901.0 target 10:09 11815 900.0 target 10:24 11816 800.0 target 10:31 11817 240.0 smear ----- sequence 11818, plate 566 ------- 10:43 11818 10.0 flat 10:45 11819 2.0 arc 11:13 11820 1202.0 target ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument getclock Az Alt Rot Scale ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:50 5 748 1006134620 -0.045667 -0.001006 0.000000 1.000000 alpha peg 19:06 5 748 1006135615 -0.042538 -0.002669 -0.019104 0.999740 19:30 5 748 1006137033 -0.042538 -0.002669 -0.019104 0.999700 01:03 1 754 1006157005 -0.048048 -0.001271 -0.000231 1.000120 01:17 1 754 1006157874 -0.048048 -0.001271 -0.000231 1.000080 02:37 2 762 1006162632 -0.049400 -0.000722 -0.019604 1.000160 03:53 8 566 1006167189 -0.044976 -0.000901 -0.003090 1.000260 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL4674 Stays: JL4675 ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 19:06 5 748 0.99974 2566 3258 0 34 68.9 4.8 14 286 1.2 19:30 5 748 0.99970 2961 3541 -40 19 71.1 4.8 10 278 1.3 01:03 1 754 1.00012 -1184 105 -80 96 55.0 3.9 4 88 2.3 01:17 1 754 1.00008 -789 424 -80 94 58.1 4.2 4 93 1.6 01:59 1 754 1.00008 -789 404 -80 89 66.8 5.0 0 104 1.3 02:36 2 762 1.00016 -1579 -182 -20 124 62.6 5.3 1 210 1.5 02:48 2 762 1.00016 -1579 -227 -60 125 64.8 5.1 1 195 1.2 03:53 8 566 1.00026 -2566 -998 -40 38 54.6 3.5 0 92 1.6 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 16:31 42 30 3 279 (W) 194 - pcl all night 17:07 39 30 11 292 (WNW) 158 - 17:40 40 29 15 300 (WNW) 192 - 18:12 40 30 13 291 (WNW) 191 - 18:55 40 30 13 290 (WNW) 192 - 19:26 40 31 11 273 (W) 251 - 19:58 40 30 10 277 (W) 200 - 20:31 41 30 8 268 (W) 261 - 21:03 41 29 9 281 (W) 250 - 21:35 41 29 10 270 (W) 247 - 22:07 41 29 7 266 (W) 283 - 22:40 41 28 6 267 (W) 262 - 23:12 41 27 6 266 (W) 284 - 23:44 41 26 8 273 (W) 243 - 00:16 38 27 4 258 (WSW) 257 - 00:49 41 27 2 291 (WNW) 263 - 01:21 40 27 1 54 (NE) 243 - 01:55 40 27 0 108 (ESE) 245 - 02:26 41 27 0 185 (S) 246 - 02:57 41 27 0 155 (SSE) 235 - 03:30 37 27 7 79 (E) 211 - 04:03 40 27 1 192 (SSW) 242 - 04:35 37 27 1 168 (SSE) 219 - 05:06 38 28 1 186 (S) 225 - ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- Stowed at 121, 30 Cartridge 8 mounted 5:09: imager dewar at 133.6 5:10: spectro dewar at 273.6 ---=== SOFTWARE USED ===--- IOP/SOP: v3_60_2 Watcher: v2_12_1 MCP: v5_7_2 TPM: v2_4_3 AstroDa: v14_39 TCC: 2.5.5 sdssProcedures: v1_32 ---=== MIRROR NUMBERS ===--- PRIMARY: -------- Scale: 1.000000 MIGS TONIGHT NOMINAL Axial A 0.0760 0.0710 Axial B 0.8030 0.8030 Axial C 0.0660 0.0640 Trans D -1.4970 -1.4590 Lateral E 1.8420 1.8600 Lateral F 1.4190 1.4280 GALILS Commanded: 5400. -3700. 900. -200. 31550. 30650.
