Jurek's request done. Pete's requests were done yesterday. After discovering a bug in logTool (iop v3_59_0 special characters are very inconvenient for tcl), Eric fixed the bug & checked in iop v3_59_1. This is the version we used for all of tonight's tests. 18:35 telescope fiducialized. 19:15 telescope opened, imager mounted. 20:11 Drift started: 82N lambda =100, run 2684 , (away from the moon). ============================================= J E N :))) this note is for you !!! Don't reduce run 2684, which was called science - we were testing IOP. ======================================================================= Sky level test: 20:25 run 2685. Frames 10-20 flat f. petals opened. During this time period there were clouds coming thorough the field of view and changing the sky level. Petals closed at frame 21. Sky level went back to normal after 26 frame for u and z chips, but some other chip sky levels didn't recover at all. Frame 37 - petals opened and all chip sky levels recoverd immediately. There were also clouds going through the field of view during the last part of the scan. Scan ended at frame 47. 20:50 telescope moved to 121,30 and dewars refilled. 21:50 imager removed, cart 2 plt 736 mounted 23:36 cart 5 plt 694 mounted. testInFiber: hmmm - we tested fk5InFiber -test -fiber # looking for stars. DEC close to 0 deg: There was no problem with finding star in all fibers, the largest offest was: 4". DEC around 45 deg: star found in 10-th fiber with offset less than 4", but no star found in fiber 9, to see the star, we needed to apply an offset: RA:11" and DEC:-3" Fiber 11 - no stars, untill we applied offset: RA:12, DEC:-2 Fiber 1 - no stars, spiralPattern didn't help. Fiber 3 - no stars. DEC around 20 deg: star found in 10-th fiber wiht offset 4".The same with fiber 9. Fiber 11, star centered with offsets: RA: 6, DEC:-1 Fiber 2 , star found with offests: RA: 7, DEC: 0 Fiber 1, no star. Fiber 7, no star. Tried spiral Pattern: no stars. We quit at this point. Actually we coludn't do more, since the current instruction as well as previous instructions are not clear (all previous instructions differ from each other) so, please provide us with a single clear instruction to test what you wanted to be tested e.g a list of command with a list of expected results... 03:00 telescope closed, cart 1 plt 732 mounted. -------------------------------- imager: PR/2719: endDrift / makeRunLog can fail if /tmp/mrl gets deleted - works. PR -------------------------------- sop/iop PR/2650: Telescope status info missing from spectro headers - tested. We are leaving PR status as it was, since the changes Eric implemented are error checking code to look for the problem. PR/2702: logTool records the wrong instrument in focus, offset -tested, works. PR closed. PR/2720: track each type of instrument change - works, PR closed. PR/2733: endNight seemed to be hung on time track summary -tested, the file /skycat/oplogs/52210/timeSummaryForNight.html was created and contained proper information. PR closed. PR/2378: logTool should not change entered text - tested, works, but PR was closed already. ------------------------------- PT: PR/2295: get_ircam_images - works properly, but... PR was already closed. PR/2783: mtpipe v7_4 in the follow mode - looks like it works but needs more work, PR not closed. ------------------------------- PROBLEMS: 22:09 rotator aborted - looks like an old problem: see the problem section. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Stripe Flavor Lambda Last Begin End Frame Comments ------------------------------------------------------------------ 2682 100 O ignore 129.29 133.43 41 2683 100 O ignore 134.22 137.26 32 2684 82 N science 105.96 108.59 31 2685 82 N engineering 109.51 -64.00 55 ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot --------------------------------------------------------------- 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 2685 44 4 48 -7.800 1.175 -5.400 0.531 -0.01451 ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot --------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 11599, plate -9999 ------- 23:28 11599 0.0 bias ----- sequence 11600, plate -9999 ------- 04:05 11600 0.0 bias ----- sequence 11601, plate 736 ------- 04:18 11601 10.0 flat 04:20 11602 2.0 arc ----- sequence 11603, plate -9999 ------- 04:43 11603 0.0 bias ----- sequence 11604, plate 736 ------- 05:14 11604 902.0 target ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument getclock Az Alt Rot Scale ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 19:28 imager 1004232521 0.001273 -0.001459 0.000000 1.000000 21:59 2 736 1004241559 0.001273 -0.001459 0.000000 1.000000 01:14 5 694 1004256867 0.002370 -0.000896 0.000438 0.999960 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL4588,4589,4590,4591,4592,4593 and 4580 Stays: JL4594,4595,4596,4597,4618,4619 and 4581 ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:31 8 547 1.00023 -2270 -720 -100 121 30.0 12.4 7 235 19:26 imager 1.00000 0 -347 -100 121 60.0 8.8 7 144 21:59 2 736 1.00000 0 -459 -200 -14 65.0 7.7 11 146 01:15 5 694 0.99996 394 1484 -100 121 30.0 7.7 12 182 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 17:30 53 31 7 236 (SW) 608 - 18:02 50 31 7 215 (SW) 603 - 18:35 49 31 6 179 (S) 731 - 19:06 47 31 8 172 (S) 733 - 19:38 46 31 8 128 (SE) 899 - 20:14 47 31 5 106 (ESE) 720 - 20:47 48 30 1 159 (SSE) 568 - 21:19 46 31 4 133 (SE) 763 - 21:51 45 31 12 147 (SSE) 678 - 22:23 45 31 9 175 (S) 636 - 23:28 45 31 10 172 (S) 657 - 23:59 45 31 9 167 (SSE) 654 - 00:32 45 31 9 134 (SE) 751 - 01:03 45 31 9 177 (S) 631 - 01:36 45 31 9 180 (S) 629 - 01:09 45 31 8 177 (S) 573 - 01:42 45 31 4 179 (S) 607 - ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- 19:15 telescope opened, imager mounted. 03:00 telescope closed, cart 1 plt 732 mounted, hosed hooked up. ---=== SOFTWARE USED ===--- IOP/SOP: v3_59_1 Watcher: v2_12_1 MCP: v5_6_5 TPM: v2_4_2 AstroDa: v14_39 TCC: 2.5.5 sdssProcedures: v1_31 ---=== MIRROR NUMBERS ===--- PRIMARY: -------- Scale: 1.000000 MIGS TONIGHT NOMINAL Axial A 0.0740 0.0710 Axial B 0.8040 0.8030 Axial C 0.0590 0.0640 Trans D -1.4950 -1.4590 Lateral E 1.8570 1.8600 Lateral F 1.4160 1.4280 GALILS Commanded: 5400. -3700. 900. -200. 31550. 30650.
