Hartmann tests if the weather lets up. SYNOPSIS FOR NIGHT: =================== The weather allowed us to open for about a grand total of 2 hours. We started to set up for Hartmannn tests, but did not get to the tests themselves. TELESCOPE STATUS: ================= In stow, at 30 deg, with engineering camera on the telescope. GENERAL COMMENTS (see Problems below for details): ================================================== Before dark: The telescope was fiducialised at 19:00 in the hope we could open. Hayes and Wilson were the parties for this section of the activities. Kinney is asymptotically nearing the completion of the Documentation deliverable. It will be under CVS with a few days. Jon B. took many spectro biases (86 of them) during the day and only saw two instances of wrong num of pix errors. After dark: It was cloudy until about midnight. We were open by about 00:30 and went to a second mag star (alpha Oph) to set up for Hartmann tests. When we tried a gcam doread we got an error message from the TCC. We wasted some time tracking it down (see problems section), then determined offsets to center the star (az offset=-.025 deg, alt offset=-.013 deg). All this time, the humidity was climbing and at about 02:00 we were forced to close again. Rather frustrating. After closing we took some more spectro biases and one second exposures with spectro 2 door open, looking once again for wrong num of pix problems. Out of 28 exposures we had one instance (one row) of wrong num of pix. Although this problem occurs much less frequently than during the last dark run, it is still with us.
