SYNOPSIS FOR NIGHT: =================== We only managed to image a FASTT field before clouds came and prompted a switch to spectro. SOS indicated plate 8 plate 299 was done after 5 exposures. We like SOS! TELESCOPE STATUS: ================= DIMM: ----- INTERLOCKS: =========== SOFTWARE USED: ============== IOP/SOP: v3_13_1branch_1 Watcher: v2_8_2 MCP: v4_2_4 TPM: v1_0_8 AstroDa: 14_24 TCC: 2.2.5 WEATHER SYNOPSIS (see below for hourly data): ============================================= Decent weather all night, but wispy and cirrusy for most of the night. Not photometric. GENERAL COMMENTS (see Problems below for details): ================================================== Tonight's was the last sloan-o-con of the run. The rest of the run's plan should be easy to figure out with the caveat that we MUST get a chunk6 spectro plate done at some point, even if it means not imaging in good conditions to do it. We started on FASTT field before twilight was over. By the time we finished the FASTT field, clouds started coming in, so we switched to spectroscopy, relatively smoothly in about 40 minutes. Started spectro out with cart 8 plate 299. There were clouds about, so SOS told us the first two exposures were about equal to one exposure. We really like SOS and look forward to more documentation about what exactly everything means, but we were able to concentrate on the S/N^2 as described in the email. SOS declared plate 299 done after 5 exposures. Next up: cart 3 plate 348. Took 6(!) integrations to get the requisite S/N At this point we were on twilight and stopped for the night. We put cartridge 5 on at the close of night just in case for tomorrow night. endNight was run successfully.
