Doi (JPG) THE PLAN: ========= Spectroscopy unless weather improves enough to do imaging, in which case a 2 hour scan along stripe 1 where ever it is well placed in the sky. SYNOPSIS: ========= First half wind and dust over limits. Second half dust was toying with us for a while, but ended up above closure limits the rest of the night. GENERAL COMMENTS (see Problems below for details): ================================================== Telescope was fiducialized and ready to go by twilight. Cartridge 7/plate 285 was loaded on the telescope at sundown. Wind and dust kept us from opening. We periodically changed cartridges in hopes of being set to open, but alas the dust never permitted us to do so. We ran endNight -doTpm to hopefully get the logs to tape. It is then that we realized the TPM probably wasn't running tonight. Last night it needed to be started by hand and it looks like tonight it still needed to be, but wasn't. What's wrong with the auto-starting TPM? We tried to take a "goDrift" and got the error: im> goDrift -bias statusEntry daqBusy on node id1 is not 0 but 1 Error: Aborting: system is already busy im> readoutAbort We then went through the troubleshooting guide for the DA which had nothing on this particular aspect, so we rebooted the crates.
