SYNOPSIS FOR NIGHT: =================== The weather was quite bad the entire night -- clouds, high humidity, wind and snow. TELESCOPE STATUS: ================= Imager on telescope. DIMM: ----- INTERLOCKS: =========== None bypassed. SOFTWARE USED: ============== IOP/SOP: v3_12_5 Watcher: v2_8_2 MCP: v4_1_2 WEATHER SYNOPSIS (see below for hourly data): ============================================= Snowing and cloudy in afternoon with a giant sucker hole opening up around 17:00. The hole closed up by 20:00 and the weather stayed bad for the rest of the night. Even when the clouds cleared out, there was either too much humidity or ice around to open. GENERAL COMMENTS (see Problems below for details): ================================================== As Steve Kent did not find any evidence for the light leaks, so we need not persue this avenue. The weather opened up at about 03:20 at zenith, but all around at about an ALT=45 deg, there was cloud. They came back in by 04:00 and essentially never left. We left the tapes from tonight in the drives, and ran "endNight" so that the tracking s/w files would be copied into the right places. "endNight" ran successfully.
