(PU) Chris Stoughton (FNAL) THE PLAN: ========= Exercise the DAs and break things. No problem. SYNOPSIS FOR NIGHT: =================== We exercised the DAs. Not much broke. A few things broke in iop. TELESCOPE STATUS: ================= camera mounted. corrector and cartridge 2 and one other on cart in dome. DIMM: ----- INTERLOCKS: =========== no interlocks bypassed. SOFTWARE USED: ============== IOP/SOP: v3_11_0 Watcher: v2_7_0 MCP: v4_0_2 WEATHER SYNOPSIS (see below for hourly data): ============================================= Fine. GENERAL COMMENTS (see Problems below for details): ================================================== Lots of playing. See the Imaging data logs and problem reports for details. Closed around 00:30. endNight almost ran successfully the third time (but who's counting?). Mail might not have been sent. DATA ACQUISITION (see IOP/SOP output below): =========================================== IMAGING: -------- 1259: bias 1260: bias 1261: bias 1262: Started stripe 9 N at lambda=-60 focus started around -130 findRotator was ok. 1263: 37N -55 findRotator reported rotator move: degrees = -0.029 +- 0.003 offset rotator -0.029 a second said rotator move: degrees = -0.023 +- 0.020 did not move rotator third time said rotator move: degrees = +0.010 +- 0.004 did not move rotator fourth time said rotator move: degrees = -0.000 +- 0.007 1264: 37N -62 (science) we used an offset rotator -0.029 lskipped at frame 10 (part of 11 had lskips in it, too) rotator move: degrees = -0.003 +- 0.010 we did no offset rotator. 1265: 37S -52 stars all streaking diagonally... After a couple of scanStripes, we found the telescope did not move in AZ to where it should have been. After scanStripe was issued and the telescope was slewing, the interlocks showed that the AZ and Alt were stopped. Went down to the telescope and found a drill bit left by the day staff near a doghouse paddle. Presumably we hit this and that stopped the tracking. 1266: 37S -52 From frame number ~48 and onward are science. We (Chris) wanted to see if we could process a run starting at an arbitrary frame number. SPECTROSCOPY: ------------- none taken. PROBLEMS: ========= endDrift while slewing to a new field: --------------------------------------- While slewing to a test field via a scanStripe command, we issued an endDrift to stop our initial bias. It failed. Here is the cut-and-paste job from iop. We tried a ptvmeTest in iop and it came back with errors. A call to Ron said we issued the ptvmeTest command incorrectly. It should be ptvmeTest -n x -a 0x18000000 where x is the node number to test. Eventually, the locks cleared themselves and the next goDrift worked.
