It did not clear during the second half. GENERAL COMMENTS (see Problems below for details): ================================================== Jon was still working on the autofill system at the beginning of the evening. It still does not work. His work will continue... MCP froze up and gave "MCP unavailable" button after we fiducialized but before we opened the enclosure. We rebooted the MCP and refiducialized. The beginning of the night "goDrift -bias" gave us, message on linestarts. We were able to take biases, but was not sure the implication of the message. A call to Ron was made. He thought the rate was slightly slower than he remembered, but was not sure. Jon Brinkman said findRotator command should tell us about the linestarts. We used autoLskip during our first imaging run and we did check that it knew the new linestarts. We started with the imaging because the weather looked good. We still have not found out also if the mirror needs fine tuning of the collimation. After consulting to Jim about last night's donuts, it was decided that we cannot correct symmetric donut pattern by collimation and also the beginning of the night was not ideal for doing any collimation. At the beginning of the night, the telescope is not in thermal equilibrium and hence we normally have poor seeing (therefore it is difficult to achieve the criteria of i goDrift -bias camera linestarts differ from last run camera is now 26322 # MICROSECONDS was last at Is this ok? [no/yes]: yes Thu Nov 16 17:46:17 MST 2000: Beginning data taking Imager took bias without any problem. ccd04 voltage errors ******************** i-trim1 for ccd4 triggered a watcher error in early evening. This is what the values was when we did a vcheck immidiately after the watcher error: I-TRIM1 191 2.49 V 2.40 V* 638 15 664* The voltage seems close enough. The next vcheck had same values without the * marks next to it indicating all is well. Around 21:30, we got watcher error on Vp12+ for ccd04. Here is what the vcheck gave: VP12+ 139 5.49 V 5.47 V* 792 15 909* Around 1:15, we got another ccd-4 errors. Here is the vcehck results: VT+ 177 6.99 V 7.00 V* 868 15 219* WEATHER DATA: ============= Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky Precip. 17:01 28 5 7 266 (W) 344 clr 18:01 27 12 9 209 (SSW) 424 clr 19:01 26 13 12 202 (SSW) 526 clr 20:01 27 5 9 268 (W) 364 clr 21:01 27 6 6 267 (W) 374 clr 22:01 27 8 7 311 (NW) 435 pcl 23:01 27 8 11 274 (W) 433 pcl 00:01 27 9 11 267 (W) 444 mcl 01:01 27 9 9 264 (W) 455 tcl 02:01 27 11 7 263 (W) 470 tcl 03:01 27 11 10 265 (W) 498 tcl 04:01 27 13 10 273 (W) 486 tcl 05:01 27 16 11 268 (W) 529 tcl [pmt]cl = partly, mostly, totally cloudy DATA LOGS FROM IOP/SOP: ======================= MJD: 51865 Run: 1853 STRIPE: 100O This scan ran for 25 frames.
