From: sjnk@apo.nmsu.edu Subject: 29Oct00 51847 2.5m Rotator Log Date: Mon, 30 Oct 2000 02:56:05 -0700 (MST) Tonight, we did some more rotator tests, this time in both positive and negative directions. The results indicate that things are behaving rather nicely, but there is an increase in commanded voltage with a decrease in velocity that is not linear, but increases more as the velocity decreases more. The postive and negative directions seem about the same, except the negative tracks had a |voltage| about a 1000 less than the positive tracks. The table of results follows: Scot Atsuko Steph Pete Jim --------------------------- Start Finish From->To Speed ~Menu Voltage Range ----- ------- -------- ----- ------------------- 18:28 0 80 330,000 18:29 80 86:53 1000 5000 at start range:4800-5100 18:48 19:07 86:53 90 500 5200 at start range: 4600-5300 19:07 19:36 90 91 100 5300 at start range: 5300-5700 19:36 20:05 91 91:30 50 5500 at start range: 5500-6500 20:05 ~20:32 91:30 91:45 25 6200 at start range: 6200-7100 20:35 21:22 91:45 91:55 10 6700 at start range: 6700 - 8300 (with occasioanal decreases to ~7800) 21:23 21:13 91:55 92 5 7700 at start range:7700 - 9000 with wiggles Negative Tracks 22:17 fast slew to 180deg 5000-5700 22:18 180 90 250000 ~-3800 22:20 22:26 90 88 1000 -4000 at start range: -4000 - 3100 22:26 22:32 88 87 500 -3400 at start range: -3200 - -4000 22:32 23:00 87 86 100 -3600 at start range: -3600 - -4700 23:00 23:29 86 85:30 50 -4500 at start range: -4200 - -5200 23:29 23:57 85:30 85:15 25 -5200 at start range: -5200 - -6000 23:57 00:44 85:15 85:05 10 -5600 at start range: -5600 - -6900 00:44 01:30 85:05 85 5 -6500 at start range: -6500 - -7500 (a bit more variable than the others)
