From: sjnk@apo.nmsu.edu Subject: 27Oct00 51845 rotator test results Date: Sat, 28 Oct 2000 02:33:53 -0600 (MDT) We did 6 sets of rotator tests today from Steph's kindly-provided lists of slews/tracks that previously produced aborts; we did not see any aborts. The current does get high during slow tracks, though. My feeling is we will want to permamently increase our abort limit from 12,000 just so we don't get bitten by these long slow slews. Scot & Atsuko & Mike & Pete ---------------------------------- Start Finish From->To Speed ~Menu Voltage Range ----- ------- -------- ----- ------------------- 19:10 360 260 330000 -4000 -- -5700 19:11 19:39 260 250 1000 -5700 -- -4500 260 420 250000 abort at ~19:40:50 presumably due to soft limit at 369deg. we slewed to -200 and it aborted at -190, presumably the other soft limit. We figure Steph meant 240 not 420 in her document. She didn't - the limits were bypassed. Oh well, we went to 240 instead. We also checked our notes and verified the rotator range was ~90+-270deg. 20:08 240 335 330000 ~4600 20:09 20:37 335 325 1000 -4200 -- fast slew to 250 at 250000 20:39 250 160 330000 -5500 -- -4500 20:40 21:37 160 150 500 -5000 -- -3800 ~21:20 a spike in tpm_ROMTRV, but nowhere else this happened again ~21:26.
