This should completely eliminate any need to kill users of the TCC command interpreter interactively. telstop followed by telrun will now fix nearly any problem with no further intervention. One benefit of this improvement is solution of a recent problem: telstop followed by telrun would often fail with a message about no more users allowed. This was a side effect of the new user number system. However, the new telstop does not provide a perfect fix to the problem. An old weakness remains: nobody must try to use the TCC software while the software is being started up. Otherwise many things can go wrong, one of which is the above-mentioned problem. A good long-term solution involves some reliable means of locking out other users while the TCC software starts up. I am considering options, but am not in a big hurry, as this particular weakness has been present for years and caused very little trouble. -- Russell
