                              OBSERVING  LOG
   During the day the telescope was out of the enclosure and engineering
work was being done on the servos by Claudio Rivetta.  At around sunset
Claudio stopped for the day and Charlie Briegel took over.  He spent much
of the night working on the MCP software, then testing with slews using the
TCC.
   Charlie tells me that the data from the slews now looks very nice except
for occasional spikes.  The axes still sometimes halt during slews, though
toward the end of the night it was happening less often.  Charlie says the
spikes are large enough that they need to be fixed, and that he has some
ideas on their cause.
   The enclosure was closed at a little after 04:00.
