Subject: problems
The first night of the pointing run was an exercise in frustration.
The main problems were:
- There was no information on connecting the TCC to the MCP. We have
no idea what port to use or what magic incantation to type if the
port is 17. This despite my repeated attempts to contact Charlie to
get the information necessary to use this interface and to arrange
for a dry run.
- There was no computer in the enclosure. This seriously hampers
attempts to open the enclosure and perform preliminary tests.
In addition, Dan had a bunch of extra unexpected work because the
enclosure was left in a mess and the fiber illuminator was left on
the engineering camera.
I am very upset by the situation.
